Topic1: My childhood dream
My childhood dream was to become a dancer. I learned classical ballet from when I was 8 years old to 14 years old. After that, I learned Hip-hop dance. Unfortunately, I hurt my Achilles tendon. But, I was also curious about medical care. So I aimed to be a pharmacist.
This first topic is very difficult for me because I had so many dreams when I was a child and I thought I could become whoever and whatever I wanted. In fact, I became a singer, a ballet dancer, an Olympic athlete, and even an interpreter in my imagination. Of course, I spoke English VERY fluently.🤣 I enjoyed my imagination and I was satisfied with it. After all, I haven’t become a special person at all. I was sometimes disappointed with myself. But now, I’m not so critical of myself. I’m really enjoying my life. To be honest, I don’t mind whether my dream came true or not. I’m just happy to live with simple pleasures and good health.
I wanted to be a bride when I was five.👰However, I didn’t understand what marriages were; I just wanted to wear dresses like a princess.😅 I attended my cousin’s wedding party that year, so I maybe wanted to be like her. Have you ever attended wedding parties when you were a kid? If you have, did you have fun or was it boring?
I wanted to be a member of the Takarazuka Review. I first saw Takarazuka Review when I was twelve years old. I was thinking about it from the day. If I want to be a member, I must pass an exam for the Takarazuka Music School. So I learned and practiced ballet and sang hard. However, I don’t take the exam because I stopped growing up when I was fifteen years old, and there were many people much better than me. I lost my confidence and never went to see it again. About ten years ago, I pushed myself to see it for the first time in 30 years. I was certain I said goodbye to my dream then.
Currently, I sometimes enjoy it. Takarazuka Review is great!
I wanted to be a comic artist. When I was eight, I used to send my works to a publisher for their contests. I never won a prize, so I gave up my dream and just enjoyed drawing and reading manga.
I was in the manga club when I was in junior high school. One of the members became a professional comic artist at around 40. While she was raising her children, she was too busy to draw manga. After they entered universities, she started drawing again. She sent her works to many publishers. She even took them to publishers in Tokyo.
Now, she mainly draws manga for online manga companies. She realized her dream! Her dream was mine, too. I admire her a lot.
When I was a child, I wanted to become a veterinarian and save wild animals lives like the lions in Africa.
I didn’t become a veterinarian, but I’d like to contribute to for saving the environment of Africa or another area someday. I want to go to Africa in the near future.
See you soon!
