“Hello!

I’m Rosemary, call me that or shorten it to Rose, both okay with me. I had spent 18 years living in Japan and loved working, living, and travelling there. I left in 2019, and that first winter back in Canada, the dreaded COVID pandemic landed on the world. I miss everything about Japan, but haven’t been able to return for a visit ever since. I need my “Japan fix”, and as soon as the borders open up, I will immerse myself in Japanese culture once again on a holiday.

Who am I, you might be wondering? What makes me feel alive? I have so many interests from reading, watching movies, writing and cooking, to running, cycling, swimming, kayaking, and SUP-boarding.

My future goal is to get published. I love to write, and share stories and experiences with others. When I saw this opportunity, to write to students in an ongoing manner, I got excited. This is exactly the venue I would like to pursue. Let’s get to know each other through words, and we can share an ongoing journey. Some say a picture is worth a thousand words, that is true. But the written word can paint such a wonderful picture as well. Let’s paint some pictures!”
