講師紹介

カナダ出身のRosemary先生（愛称：Rose先生）。
18年間日本に住み、主に名古屋で生活されていました。
日本での暮らしや文化への理解が深く、日本語学習者の気持ちにも寄り添ってくれる先生です！

これまで日本の高校・大学で英語教師として指導されていたほか、
トヨタグループ企業（アイシン・デンソーなど）で、海外赴任準備のための英語指導も担当。
さらに、多くの個人レッスンを通して、生徒との長い交流を大切にされてきました。

趣味はとても幅広く、
読書・映画・料理・執筆から、ランニング・サイクリング・カヤック・SUPまでアクティブな一面も。

特に「書くこと」が大好きで、
将来は作家として本を出版することが夢とのこと。
日々の小さな出来事や人生の経験を“言葉で表現すること”をとても大切にされています。

そのため、
「自分のことを英語で自然に表現したい」
「気持ちや考えを丁寧に伝えられるようになりたい」

Hello!

I’m Rosemary, but feel free to call me Rose if you like. I lived in Japan for 18 wonderful years, mainly in Nagoya. I truly loved working, living, and travelling there. Although I returned to Canada in 2019, Japan is still a big part of my life, and I try to go back every year if circumstances allow.

While I was there, I worked as an English teacher in Japanese public high schools and universities. I also worked with Toyota group companies such as Aishin, Denso, and others, helping employees prepare for living abroad. In addition, teaching many private students allowed me to form long-term friendships, which is something I value deeply.

Who am I, you might be wondering? What makes me feel alive? I have many interests, from reading, watching movies, writing and cooking, to running, cycling, swimming, kayaking, and SUP-boarding.

My future goal is to become a published writer. I truly love to write and to share stories and experiences with others. I also find so much joy in hearing about people’s everyday lives, the small moments as well as the big ones. Let’s get to know each other through words and share an ongoing journey. Some say a picture is worth a thousand words; that is true. But the written word can paint a wonderful picture as well. Let’s paint some together.
