“Hello! I’m Jennifer, from Ottawa, Canada. After studying English Literature at the University of Ottawa, I came to Saitama prefecture in 2000. My first job in Japan was working as an Assistant English Teacher in public schools as a JET Program participant. I met my husband in Saitama and we began a family that grew to include two sons and a daughter. In 2017, we moved to Tsukuba in Ibaraki prefecture to have better access to international education and a diverse community for our children. In Tsukuba, surrounded by nature, I am able to pursue my outdoor hobbies such as camping, hiking, walking, and gardening. I also love cooking, baking, making jam, and canning food from my garden.
