IELTSの審査官も経験されています。他、Bachelor’s Modern History, Master’s Applied Linguistics and ELT, Master’s Educational Research.

Hi, I’m James from near London in the U.K. I lived in Nagasaki and Tokyo from 1999 to 2003 before moving back to England to work at a language school and study for a Master’s degree. In 2007 I worked at a British university in China, but when our son was born, my wife and I decided to raise him in Japan and moved to Tohoku in 2012.

I have 25 years of experience teaching English in England, China and Japan. This includes teaching English Conversation, Business English, and Academic English, including courses for foreign nurses and medical doctors aiming to work for the National Health Service in the U.K. I was an IELTS examiner for many years and also taught the following examinations: TOEIC, Eiken, IELTS, TOEFL, and the Cambridge proficiency tests. I have a Cambridge RSA CELTA qualification in teaching English to Adults and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and ELT.
