“Hi there! I’m David, but please call me Dave. I’ve been based in the suburbs of Tokyo since 2002 with my 2 adorable Italian Greyhounds, but am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I enjoy being in the great outdoors hiking trails, hiking mountains, camping and so on. I also enjoy exercising and prefer calisthenics. After leaving the United States Army of nearly 10 years, I started teaching English here in Japan from 2005 and have had the wonderful opportunity to meet and help people of all ages and backgrounds meet their individual goals. I’m excited to get to know you better and to start a memorable journey together.

趣味
I enjoy almost all outdoor activities: hiking trails, hiking mountains, camping, and so on. I also enjoy exercise and prefer calisthenics, but have some weightlifting experience.
I enjoy talking about diet, nutrition, and exercise. I’ve even developed programs for soldiers to lose fat while I was in the US military.
I dabble in videography, have experience in Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve, and have produced some content for YouTubers and their gaming groups.
I have 2 Italian Greyhounds and so I enjoy talking about dogs and dog training.
